Training Groups
Novice – Developmental
All swimmers begin in this group. This group is a learning group with stroke mechanics, set management, training vocabulary and turns being the basic structure of the time the athletes are in this group. An athlete coming from another program will be evaluated by the coaching staff as to their proper placement within the club, while in this group.
Age Group
The athlete must be a minimum of 9 years old and have a basic ability in four competative strokes, and be able to perform the correct turns for each stroke. The athlete must be able to read the pace clock, and have a desire to work up to five days a week training. The coaches approval is required before advancing to this group.
Senior Group
The athlete must be a minimum of 13 years old, or 12 with 13 – 14 year old "A" times. The athletes must express a desire to commit to three to five days of training a week, with Dryland training included. Although not necessarily based solely on competition, the focus for this group is on the athletes setting their own personal goals, and then following through and seeking to achieve these goals. The coaches approval is required before advancing to this group.
Masters Group
Open to all adults of all ability. Caters to all people from those wanting to get fit and lose weight up to those who wish to compete in triathlons.
